RYVAL HOOPS KONG COURT K872 in-ground fixed height basketball goal has a massive 8” x 8” seven (7) gauge HOT-DIPPED Galvanized pole. The hot-dip process is time-tested, for example, street signal lights, boat anchors, etc. Some hoop manufacturers use Zinc galvanized (electro galvanized) which is inferior to hot dip galvanize, please research. The rim/hoop is directly connected to the main structural support arm, ensuring dunking (dunk-proof warranty) will never affect the integrity of the glass backboard. In addition, Ryval glass will not fog, cloud or scratch, which are characteristics of acrylic backboards. Structurally, the glass performs similarly to the YMCA / NBA and NCAA gym style backboards in rebounding & game play.

You will get competition grade performance from the breakaway flex-back rim that meets NCAA and NFSHSA specifications along with the 5’ overhang for safe play around the goal pole. The K872 comes with both a quality backboard and pole/gusset pad.
